Sunrise wedding… on a mountain, with a view?! Yes please!!

Oh my goodness. As Pretty Place Wedding Photographer I was so excited to capture Heather and Ruben’s Pretty Place Chapel wedding and it was STUNNING!! It literally felt like a dream during their ceremony!

I had the honor of photographing their engagement session at Furman University a couple years ago, before we had even moved to SC! After getting to know them and their story, it was so apparent that God was the one to cross our paths. They are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met! Ruben and Heather were highschool sweethearts, but their lives went separate directions. Years later, their stories became intertwined and they knew they were meant to end up together after all this time!

During the planning process, Heather wanted to be able to include her father (who had passed away within the last couple years) so she used a charm of his on her bouquet and a picture frame of him in the front row. It was so precious and I’m truly glad he got to be a part of her special day. During our date night consultation with them, Ruben mentioned that he and her daughters were planning on putting together a slideshow of pictures of her dad and playing a special song and dancing with her, in place of her father, while the slideshow flipped through. It was incredibly sweet and emotional and had everyone in tears. It was such a thoughtful way to honor his memory.

We took some beautiful wedding portraits at Pretty Place Wedding Chapel with Heather Ruben and their kiddos, and also some portraits around Falls Park and Hall’s Chophouse, where their reception took place! Their wedding day brunch was SO yummy. I would highly recommend a brunch menu to any of my couples haha!! At the end of the day, their friends and family sent them off with confetti poppers!! A new favorite (of mine) wedding exit! The joy on their faces in those photos are my favorite!!

It was a beautiful wedding day and I had such a blast getting to celebrate Mr and Mrs Ruiz!
