Denise and Mike’s Fall Wedding

Weddings

A Fall wedding has always been so gorgeous to me. From the venue to the gorgeous cool weather to the floral colors. I often find myself daydreaming about the moments that I get to capture as your photographer.

Denise and Mike were married last October at The South Wind Ranch. Their day was filled with love, romance, and happy tears. The weather was gorgeous; however, it did rain directly after the ceremony for thirty minutes. They say rain on your wedding day symbolizes good luck, and in this case, it couldn’t have been more accurate. Sadly, Mike’s grandmother passed away the night of the rehearsal dinner, when the rainbow appeared after the rain; a guest told him to remember this moment as he did not know until after the wedding that she had passed. His grandmother was there that day and showed her happiness with a gorgeous rainbow.

The Details

Getting Ready

Denise and Mike had the largest bridal party I have ever photographed, and it was so much fun! The girls wore mix-match blush gowns, and the guys wore grey suits. Their outfits paired so well with the white and greenery floral that Jan Finamore Floral designed. Keep reading to see the surprise that the bridal parties gave to Denise and Mike at the end of the night!

The First Look

As always, first looks to me are so intimate, and it is time for you and your future husband/wife to be alone with each other for a few moments. Denise and Mike were no exception to this; they looked at each other like it was the first time they met and fell in love; they laughed, hugged, and couldn’t stop looking at each other.

The Bridal Party

The Ceremony

The South Wind Ranch is a full-service wedding and special event venue with breathtaking grounds and stunning views of the North Carolina Mountains. South Wind Ranch is great for any size wedding or event!  The ceremony took place on the property in what looked like an open church. The pavilion they have to built is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen! It is so unique and can be customized to any style of wedding!

The Reception

The first words that come to mind when I look back on the reception are FUN, EXHILARATING, and TOUCHING. The cake was a 5-tier cake decorated with beautiful florals, and the decor was simple and elegant with white tablecloths and gorgeous floral centerpieces. Mike danced with his sister for one of the first dances, and Mike and Denise’s first dance was beautiful. After speeches and dinner, the guests spent the last hours of the wedding dancing the night away; it was so much fun!

SUPRISE, A FIREWORKS SHOW!

The night ended, the couple walked out to a classic sparkler exit and lanterns that were given to the couple by their brand party, however, that wasn’t it! There was a surprise for the bride and groom – they had their own personal fireworks show gifted from the father of the groom! It was so much fun to watch them and all guests in awe! It was an EPIC experience and everyone freaked out! What a way to end your wedding day!

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. McCallan, for letting me join your Fall wedding day; it was such an honor!

I would love to shoot your fall wedding, let’s chat!
