I am so excited to share one of my favorite summer beach weddings that I photographed at Santa Rosa Beach in Destin, Florida! On June 25, 2022, Christopher and Meghan Magnus exchanged “I do’s” and “I love you’s” at their intimate destination wedding in front of their closest friends and family.
Despite the fickle Florida weather, and threats of thunderstorms ALL day, this beautiful couple, their wedding guests, and vendors (they were incredible!) decided to stick it out—and I’m thrilled that they did! It only rained in the morning, before our coverage started, and then sprinkled after their first look.
It was as if God Himself were smiling down on their wedding day, especially when he provided the most breathtaking, cotton candy sunset for their summer beach wedding. This created a lasting memory for everyone—including myself!
Flying to Destin, FL to take their wedding photos at 20 weeks pregnant was such a wonderful experience; and even after a year has passed, I feel incredibly honored that they trusted me and my team to capture this intimate event!
One of my favorite moments to capture on camera was when Liam, Meghan’s five-year-old son, saw his Mama in her wedding dress for the first time. (Scroll down to see how cute his reaction was!!) It was PRECIOUS!
Another sweet moment that will forever be frozen in time was when Liam went around to everyone during the ceremony and asked them to bless the rings—including myself and my second shooter, Amanda. It was so sweet to watch him do this in his own faith and excitement!
It was equally adorable, at the end of the ceremony, when he went running to Meghan and Chris for a group hug and squeezed all their heads in close!
And there’s no way I could leave out one of my personal favorite details: the TACOS, s’mores, and popsicles they had at their wedding reception! Everything was delicious!
All of their guests looked so relaxed around the bonfire, enjoying the newly wedded couple, the food, and the company.
As their wedding photographer, it was incredible to see the vision that Meghan initially shared with me during their consultation come to fruition. The environment at their ceremony and reception was filled with joy, love, and light—everything that this sweet couple wanted me to capture as their wedding photographer. And everything that embodies their beautiful love story!
