Lavender Summer Wedding at South Wind Ranch

I’m so excited to share about this lavender summer wedding at a venue I know all too well, the beautiful South Wind Ranch in Upstate South Carolina! This gorgeous wedding, sprinkled with hues of blush and lavender was incredible to capture for my sweet newlywed couple, Julie and Max Sturdivant!

On August 13th, 2022, Julie and Max traded in their rowing club rings for wedding rings, and I am truly honored that I was able to document this special day as their wedding photographer!

Having met each other a few years ago on the rowing team at Clemson University, Julie and Max were filled with joy to tie the knot on their wedding day!

Max surprised Julie by hiring a talented live wedding painter to paint them exchanging their vows in front of the cross and their families during their ceremony. It was truly so amazing to capture the happiness on her face as she noticed the surprise from her sweet soon-to-be husband!

Surrounded by love, laughter, and great music, these college sweethearts celebrated their wonderful wedding with many loved ones who were ready to dance the night away! It was so fun seeing their friends and family fill the dance floor the entire night, only stopping for a sweet treat or to show their love to the newlyweds.

Between the delicious dinner, awesome vendors, beautiful florals, multiple first looks, talented live wedding painter, sparkler exit, and sweet tears of joy, so many memorable moments were captured that the Sturdivants will forever cherish! Some of my favorite photos from their wedding day were the dreamy, sun-drenched, just-married portraits that highlight their love as well as their joy-filled personalities.

It was truly an honor and so much fun to document so many milestones for them during this season of life; Their engagement session, Julie’s bridal session, and now their beautiful wedding! Although I have photographed many beautiful weddings at South Wind Ranch, the Sturdivant’s special day is one that I will forever remember since there were many connection points and more times to get to know them! They felt just like family!
