A Vintage Oaks Farm Wedding | Watkinsville, GA | Mr & Mrs Cofer

Weddings

It was the most beautiful Vintage Oaks Farm Wedding in Watkinsville, GA. Jon and I had been looking forward to photographing Casey and Dylan on this September day for months and it was finally their turn!!

I’ve known Casey and her family for almost 15 years, so it was the biggest honor getting capture their engagement session and their wedding day as it unfolded. I loved witnessing her mom and sister help her get ready and pray over her before the ceremony. Watching as she and her dad had their first look and exchange gifts caused me to tear up!

Casey and Dylan prayed together without seeing each other before their ceremony. It was such a special moment because it pointed directly back to the Lord and everything He has planned for their lives. Their ceremony was officiated by Dylan’s Grandfather and after they said their vows, they chose to wash each others feet, because yet again, it points straight back to God! I love how the act of washing each others feet symbolizes both the husband and wife being equal in their marriage as well as their commitment to love and serve one another through it.

I especially enjoyed watching the new Mr and Mrs Cofer dance back down the aisle once they were pronounced husband and wife! It was adorable! The look on Dylan’s face as he smiled at his new bride, was pure joy!

Later when we were taking bridal party photos… something hilarious happened. We decided to take a couple photos of the bridal party in the field…except when they started walking, the bridal party saw something moving in the grass!! We all thought it was a snake but it turned out to be a rat! Everyone was freaked and ran/laughed all the way out of the field haha!!

Between the rat and the ant piles, You could say it was a very eventful couple minutes leading up to and following this moment. Definitely not something they will forget! Everyone was such a troopers. We got the most beautiful bride and groom portraits right before sunset so you’ll be seeing A LOT of them throughout the blog! Then we all had the most delicious dinner and danced the night away inside the barn!

At the end of the night, there was an extra special surprise for the guests… FIREWORKS!!! Right after Casey and Dylan walked through their sparkler exit, fireworks started shooting in the sky from behind the barn! It felt straight out of a fairytale… you could say it was an epic way to end their wedding day. They drove away in a classy truck and headed for their happily ever after as fireworks filled the skies. What an amazing day at Vintage Oaks Farm in Watkinsville, GA!! I can’t wait for you to see a recap of their day! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Cofer!!

A special thank you to all the wonderful vendors we had the opportunity to work with!
