Proposals are such a joy to capture. A proposal symbolizes the start of what is going to be the best chapters of your life. One of my former brides, Lauren, referred me to Brooke’s (her sister-in-law) boyfriend, Jamie, who was ready to propose; cue the happy dance!
The Proposal Plan
Jamie and I started this journey by coming up with a plan. The plan was to let Brooke plan the whole proposal without knowing that’s what she was doing. Jamie and Brooke’s anniversary was coming up, and Brooke had expressed her interest in doing an anniversary session to capture another year of dating bliss. Lauren (past bride) gave Brooke my name and number, and we started texting and coming up with locations and times that would work for their “anniversary” shoot. Brooke wanted to do a quick call with Jamie and me to finalize the details. We decided on Falls Park in Downtown Greenville for the session.
A few weeks later, Jamie and I jumped back on a secret call to plan which part of the session he would be popping the question. I told him about my proposal pose that I have some of my couples do; the plan was set for the beginning of the session!
Brooke faced me, and Jamie ran up behind her for the sneak attack pose, making as little noise as possible to surprise her, then wrapping her in his arms and snuggling her up! Plot twist, I had them do this twice; on the second time around, Jamie got down on one knee, and she turned around in confusion, wondering where he was! She was shocked, it was so sweet and the most incredible surprise! After the proposal, we spend an hour walking around the always beautiful, Falls Park!
Congratulations, Brooke and Jamie; capturing your proposal and witnessing this incredible moment in your lives was a pleasure!
This was the moment!!!
