My New Go-To Morning Smoothie

Personal

I’ve had a lot of friends and mama’s ask about the smoothie I’ve been making every morning for the past couple months so I thought I’d share! ๐Ÿ™‚

In effort of the new year and trying to be more healthy in general, we got a new NutriBullet!

There is much debate in the whole blender vs juicer world but ultimately, the blender prevailed for our particular household needs.

We bought a blender (while already having one) for a number of reasons size (just right!), usability, and cleanability (is that even a word?)

We had a Ninja but is was huge and difficult to clean. It didn’t fit on the counter under the cabinets, (and we don’t have much counter space as it is) so ultimately, it just stated tucked away and we didn’t really use it as often as we had hoped. This is why we sold it in our garage sale for a 10th of the cost after only being several months old. (I will also say we probably won’t be having another garage sale for at least 10 years! SO MUCH WORK!)

But let’s get back to the real reason you’re reading this! The SMOOTHIE!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day according to the people that say that. I think I would agree and so being pregnant and trying to be more health conscious, I was determined to find a quick and healthy breakfast solution. After a couple tries, I found the perfect recipe for a peanut butter banana lover! Keep in mind, when I make my smoothie, I’ve never followed actual measurements aside from the protein scoops and frozen banana. So switch these up however you please!

My Go-To Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

  1. 1 scoop Plant base protein (I currently use theย Vega Protein & Greens.ย You can get from Amazon or Publix)
  2. 1 frozen banana
  3. 1/4 cup ice (or more if you like it extra cold!!)
  4. 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
  5. 1 tablespoon of peanut butter (sometimes a little more if I’m extra hungry)
  6. 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  7. 1 tablespoon honey
  8. 1/2 cup milk

Instructions are easy. Throw it all in the blender and let it get smooth and creamy for a minute (or as needed).

Results = pure deliciousness.

If you try it, let me know what you think! If you have a different preferred breakfast smoothie, please let me know! I’d love to try more options!
