Cari and Brandon were a dream to work with!! One thing I loved most was how incredibly joyful they were the entire time! Their love for eachother is apparent in every single image!
Cari and Brandon met several years ago when they were both working at a Summer camp and their interest for each other blossomed from there. Now, these two are both teachers, which played into how Brandon asked Cari to marry him! Brandon asked the school principal ahead of time if he could propose to Cari (on his birthday) during the school’s morning announcements. That’s right, he not only got down on one knee in front of her 1st grade classroom…but in front of their entire student body!! There, he asked for forever! She was incredibly surprised and Cari said all of her students said “ewwww!” afterwards, followed by a slew of questions of what they should they call her now! SO CUTE!
You guys, their proposal was featured on the news it was so stinking cute!! What an amazing and unique proposal story!! After Cari sent me the video of their proposal, I just knew we would love capturing their story!
Downtown Hendersonville, NC is somewhere they grew up and where they spend a lot of time together, so it was the perfect location for their session! It was colder than we all expected but we kept finding pockets of sunshine to stay warm.
Liam begged to bring his new instax camera so that he could take a picture of them, “like mommy”. So we midway through their session, I posed Cari and Brandon, got Liam set up to take the photo and he did!! Later, we gave it to them to take home as a souvenir and memory from their engagement session! They loved it and Liam was so proud of himself, not to mention I was a very proud mama! He did so great and it was the first photo they posted from their session! #melt Pretty sure this needs to be an engagement session tradition if Liam is there!
Cari and Brandon, we are so happy we got to meet you both and hope to photograph you guys again in the future!! Praying your wedding is absolutely stunning and that your marriage is full and long lasting! I hope you enjoy a bunch of my favorites from their session!
