I am so excited to share about this double location engagement session with you, taken in both Charleston and Greenville! Captured on two different days in two beautiful locations (for double the love), this engagement session was both memorable and so much fun to capture for Renee and Charlie!
For their session, we started in Charleston, a city full of history and beautiful backdrops. They trusted me to take them to some pretty locations that reflected their personalities and love story. Their sweet pup joined us for the session, which added a fun and personal touch to the photos. Although the rain cut our session short, we made the most of it by incorporating a clear umbrella for playful, rainy-day shots.
Despite the weather, the photos turned out beautifully! The softer light brought a bright and airy feel to every image—which was exactly what we were hoping for!
I’m sure it would have been fine if we had just the 30 minutes worth of photos for their session (because we still got a great variety) but I wanted to make sure they got their full amount of time that was originally included in their wedding collection. So we decided to do a “part two” since we also needed to plan our signature date night with them!
We planned to meet in Greenville, at the Rock Quarry Garden, where we would be able to get another glimpse into how they interact with each other in front of the camera and make sure they were extra comfortable with me before their wedding day.
Spending time with Renee and Charlie during our date night over Italian food in Greenville made me love them even more! We got to hear more about their love story, which began with them as college sweethearts. They met in Freshman year and remained friends until Charlie decided it was time to make his move on his soon-to-be woman! In Junior year, they began dating, and while in Camden, he surprised her by popping the big question the day before his birthday. What made this moment even more special was that he told their parents, who were able to be there for this wonderful day!
From the quaint pastel streets in Charleston to the lush greenery in Greenville, both sessions were so much fun to capture as their engagement photographer!
