Last week I talked about how wonderful it is to become friends with other creatives in this industry and to get the opportunity to photograph their milestones, weddings, or family sessions. Another part of my job is photographing friends and family I have known for years, and I cherish our bond!

I have known Ashley for the last 12 years, I was a camp counselor/leader for a high school church camp, and she was one of the students in my group. Over the last 12 years, we have created a friendship that I am thankful for. I miss the days of church camp!

When Ashley asked me to capture her and her fiance Wendell’s engagement session, the answer was immediately YES! Ashley and Wendel were visiting family in NC which made it easy to coordinate their day trip to Greenville! It was so much fun getting to show friends from Florida around our little city.

Ashley and Wendel are a couple that is just made for each other. Every time Ashley walked past Wendel, his eyes lit up with excitement. As you would have guessed (because it is my favorite!), we headed to Falls Park in Downtown Greenville. We spent the evening walking around the park, looking at all of the gardens, catching up, and capturing the start of their lives together.

Thank you, Ashley and Wendel, for trusting me with your engagement session; I loved seeing you and catching up! I can’t wait to see your future unfold.
