Zion National Park Wedding | Mr + Mrs Scelzi

Friends, if you don’t know yet, as of 2016, Jon and I are very fond of traveling for destination weddings!!

When Whitney and Clayton reached out to me and said that they lived in Largo, but wanted to have their wedding at Zion National Park in Utah, I knew this would be a great adventure and gorgeous day!! If you don’t remember these two, feel free to get reacquainted by checking out their engagement session, here!: Whitney + Clayton | Engagement Session | Philippe Park

I knew from our first call that Whitney and I would be a perfect match for her wedding photography! We had a blast with them at their consultation and engagement session last year and we looked forward to the day they would become husband and wife.

Just by the place they chose for their intimate destination wedding, you can tell they are an adventurous couple who loves the outdoors! When we arrived in Springdale, UT, we saw how perfectly they chose their ceremony and reception venues! They scouted out their specific ceremony site several days before the big day, and it was literally perfect! It was around 60 degrees and we were deep in the Temple of Sinawava, a valley/canyon area surrounded by their closest friends, family and huge mountain walls! ( I obviously don’t even know how to describe it since the location was so foreign to us! haha) It was right next to a beautiful stream that they walked along soon after they officially became husband and wife.

Not only did they become husband and wife, but Whitney’s son and Clayton’s Daughter became step siblings and gained a step parent! It was so beautiful and had everyone in happy tears! After the ceremony, everyone headed to the reception to enjoy a delicious pizza bar, dancing and singing under the stars and twinkly lights! We had a blast getting to know their family and friends as we stayed later into the night to celebrate these two! Zion National Park was literally jaw dropping and unlike any place we’ve seen or photographed before. It was an incredibly beautiful day.

Whitney and Clayton, we are so very happy for you two! We are honored that we got the privilege of photographing such a stunning day! It was an experience we will never forget!
