I’ll start by saying, I’ve never gotten to know one of my brides SO well before.
What I mean by that is, when I met Krystal and Austin, it was at our first consultation..and the second time was their engagement session. After that, somehow we ended up working together on a cool project for Krystal’s job and then we both got looped into the same amazing workout group, Eat. Lift. Love.!!
Krystal is also friends with two of my past brides and cousins with one of my close friends who is also a photographer and was one of Krystal’s bridesmaids!! You guys, I got to be workout partners with this girl multiple times…and I have NEVER worked out with one of my brides before! Krystal is a BEAST (in the best way possible :))! She has so much determination and it was a blast cheering each other on the months/weeks leading up to her wedding. #sweatinfortheweddin I also got to join in on her bachelorette activities and get to know most of her bridesmaids a couple days before the wedding which was definitely a plus and so much fun!
Austin and Krystal’s wedding day was absolutely stunning!! Her bridesmaids wore blush floor length dresses and his groomsmen wore bowties. Their reception was held in a room where the windows went from the floor to the ceiling and a huge dance floor. The ceremony took place on a waterfront area and it actually started sprinkling as she walked down the isle to meet her groom. In the middle of family formals, the sky opened up and started pouring rain! Luckily, the reception room had beautiful window light, perfect for family formals and bridal party portraits. We even shot some of their portraits at the tables!!
Krystal and Austin had THE best attitudes I’ve ever seen when dealing with rain during the entire portrait time. I’m so thankful for the walkway that Rusty Pelican has because it allowed us to take the majority of their bridal portraits outside while it was still raining! They turned out BEAUTIFUL. Once the photos were finished, the reception began, and let me just give a shout out to their families who helped make the mother son and father daughter dance turned flash mob, AMAZING!!! Some of the coolest dances we’ve seen yet!
Jon and I had so much fun capturing these moments as the night unfolded and loved seeing the dance floor full the entire evening, right up until Mr and Mrs. Rapp exited into a sea of bubbles! We are so happy for you two and can’t wait to see how God transforms your marriage throughout the years!! We hope you enjoy a bunch of our favorites from this wonderful day!
