When Whitney contacted me to photograph her and Adam’s wedding, she gave me 3 possible dates because Adam was going to be deployed and she wasn’t sure which one would be definite. After she told me which one it ended up being, I didn’t have their date available at the time because we were supposed to be going out of town for a friends wedding the next morning. Thankfully, things workout out and Jon and I were able to swing it, and I’m SO glad we did!
I actually went to high school with Whitney and her sister, Megan (and most of her bridesmaids!). Her group of friends is one of the sweetest, tight knit and most genuine that I have met. Whitney is also one of the most laid back/everything’s going to turn out fine, type brides that I’ve gotten the opportunity to work with! Getting the chance to photograph a wedding for a friend from high school is always a blast and a reunion! 🙂
Whitney and Adam met in college at AU and after a couple years of dating, there her close friends stood, holding a sign that said her first, middle and last name, MARRY ME! as Adam got down one knee to ask her to spend forever with him. They incorporated AU into their wedding as well which I thought was so cute and very, them. Though I don’t know them well as a couple, just from being around them twice, you could see how much they love each other and are perfect together. Thankfully, just two days before their wedding, I got to sneak in a short holiday/engagement session and get to see how they interact with each other before we spent their whole wedding day together taking photos! That was huge for me and definitely made a difference with how smooth their wedding photos went! We got a ton of portraits and you’ll be seeing a ton of them in this blog post!
As for their wedding day, gosh you guys, it was BEAUTIFUL. Their wedding was at the Postcard Inn (which I had never shot at before!) and everything took place outside. It was perfect December, Florida weather and their day couldn’t have been more beautiful. The florals were, stunning. Their guests (I’d guess that half of them were from out of state!) were a blast and the bridal party was hilarious and every one of them looked like they walked out of a magazine! There were a bunch of Marines there (they even cut their cake with a sword!! :D) as well with plenty of stories to tell during the speeches. The dance floor was HOPPIN’ and the food was outstanding! It was just one of those weddings that we will remember forever.
Adam and Whitney, you two were a dream to work with! We are so happy that God blesses us with couples like you guys. You make our job a breeze and we felt like family at your wedding. We hope you love a bunch of our favorites from your special day!
A special thank you to all of the AMAZING vendors we got the opportunity to work with!
