One of the reasons I love being a wedding photographer is our tight-knit community. I get to meet some of the most amazing and creative people in the industry and create lifelong friendships. Take Keagan, for example; she is a local photographer in Columbia, South Carolina, and we met through an instagram model call, and we have become great friends. I was looking for brides who didn’t get photographs in their wedding dress as I was just starting to offer bridal portraits. After moving from FL, I realized here in SC, bridal portrait sessions are a must have! I love that it’s a southern tradition! Though I didn’t have the honor of shooting Keagan’s wedding, I did get the privilege of photographing her bridal portraits.

Keagan, unfortunately, didn’t get as many photos of just her in her dress that she loved, nor did she get any portraits with her grandma at her wedding, so we decided that would be our focus! Last year, Keagan and her grandma drove to Greenville on a beautiful spring day, and we took some fantastic pictures at Falls Park in Downtown Greenville. Falls Park has gorgeous ponds, gardens, and a ton of greenery.

We found a gorgeous spot by steps surrounded by pink flowers and greenery. Keagan’s all-over lace gown looked lovely against the backdrop. Her grandma wore a beautiful royal blue dress, and we spent the day creating magic!

Fun Fact: The sparklers decided to kick on right after we were done shooting! Could you imagine if it was during the session! Thank you, Keagan; you are so stunning, my friend. I feel so honored to have gotten the chance to photograph your bridals and some photos of you and your sweet grandmother!
